  • An architect by trade, Kiki moved to Berlin in 1996 where he met Ellen Allien and joined forces with the bPitch Control collective. Finding a home in the bPitch's creative union of music and design, Kiki's influence has extended beyond the decks, into the labels artwork and studio where has produced several tracks as a solo artist and together with Silversurfer. Kiki has also provided remixes for labels such as CR2, Tsuba and Crosstown Rebels. Kiki's new mix CD Boogy Bytes Vol 1 was recently released in March (featuring a windswept Kiki on the cover). RA caught up with Kiki briefly in the eye of the storm. What have you been up to lately? Besides a very, very heavy DJ schedule due to my mix album tour (Boogy Bytes Vol 1 on bPitch Control), I have just finished a new single for bpitch and numerous remixes, for example for John Digweed and Francesco Tristani`s re-interpretation of "Strings of Life". Where was the mix recorded? Monday morning after 3 gigs on a weekend. Finally home, but straight to decks... What are you up to next? The tour continues and continues and continues... But I´m very much looking forward to the summer festivals and the re-start of my Berlin residency at WMF!
