About

  • Forged within the walls of a former candy factory, lo*kee sunday parties were born in early 2008. Surrounded by artists, musicians, an intriguing collection of bohemians and walls thick enough to hide them them away from the outside world, founders Akie, Nisekay & Sebastian Voigt found themselves creating something that many agreed London was lacking at the time. An intimate gathering hidden away from prying eyes and pricked ears, a place where music was put at the forefront and hedonism was encouraged and excepted by all. No finish times, no door lists and certainly no rules, other than respecting those that were along for the ride. The energy of these events captured the hearts of many, including Cesar Merveille, jozif, Guilhem Monin, Eric Volta and Blind Minded who would soon become residents. Since that time, lo*kee has moved on to the infamous Ink Yard with sand pits, ping pong tables and palm trees, up onto rooftops, down into the bowels of a disused Leather Factory, abandoned offices and school yards within the heart of London's city, plus regular appearances at Fabric, Wilde Renate and a handful of festivals as well as showcases across the galaxy. Fast forward to 2013 and you have Lokee Musik - a record label that aims to capture the broad appreciation of music found at these events. A label formed with the same friendly ethos, dedication and free spirit as the party, with an open minded inclusion of all musik and anyone who's up for joining the ride.
