If there's a convincing argument against increasing club-sound pessimism and its often heard complaint that original music is today a thing of the past, then that argument is Label Perifaire Records, Stendal (Germany). Perifaire Records is far away from the temporary centre of electronic music and for about a year now, with each of its records, has tried to substantiate this argument. Such records include ecstatic and dreamy tracks as well as experimental mixes of electronica and house-beats with minimalist romantic. Here at Perifaire, we've set ourselves the goal of refining our sound, including new artists and moving away from the often monotone and inexpressive clubsound. Perifaire Records' releases are experimental and partly ambient, yet at the same time aim to maintain a viable dance beat. For the time being, our releases are only available in MP3 form with vinyl coming in the near future.
