Primate Recordings is a U.K based record label, specializing in dance music, specifically 'Techno'. Although based in the U.K, Primate Recordings releases and showcases music from producers based all around the world.
2015 see's the re-launch of the label. Set up in 1996, we have released over 100 singles on the main 'Primate Recordings' label, as well as having released compilation cd's, DJ mixed cd's, and developed a whole family of associated labels and sub-labels, most notably 'Primevil Recordings', 'Primary 'Recordings', 'Premier Sounds', 'Primate Endangered Species', Primate 10" Series', and Ape Recordings'.
As with in the past, we will be working with both artists who are already established, and also lesser known or relative newcomers to the scene. We have a reputation for helping to develope artists, and over the years we have released music from many artists who have gone on to become some of the biggest names in Techno, names which include Adam Beyer, Ben Sims, Marco Bailey, Christian Smith, Chris Liebing, Cristian Varela, Marco Carola, and Umek.
