About

  • "DNAudio are one of those rare timeless labels, avoiding passing trends and fads and instead opting to fine tune their unique sound and concentrate on creating a strong identity." - IDJ Magazine (July 2008) Following a string of successful singles on Nico's infamous No U-Turn Records, Silent Witness & Squire decided it was time to launch a label with a new wave attitude to drum & bass. In 2003, DNAudio was born. The label is the culmination of music by Silent Witness and Break, operations management by Squire, and the No U-Turn philosophy of building a tightly-knit crew of artists to deliver a strong, unique sound. 5 years on from its inception, DNAudio continues to go from strength to strength with a constantly expanding fan-base and a burgeoning reputation for putting out some of the most innovative and exciting drum & bass music around. The label's output receives DJ support from Goldie, Andy C, Grooverider, Fabio, Friction, Zinc, D-Bridge, Fierce, Bailey, Klute, Pendulum, Ed Rush, Calyx, Teebee and many more. Outside of the regular d&b circuit, airplay has come from Ninja Tune stalwart Amon Tobin, BBC Radio One's Mary Anne Hobbs and the late great John Peel (RIP). Individually Silent Witness and Break have recorded for a host of the scenes leading labels including Metalheadz, Commercial Suicide, Quarantine, Exit, Bingo, Violence, Soul:R, DSCi4, Subtitles and Critical and remixed Bloc Party, Noisia, The Invaderz, Calyx, Teebee and more. With worldwide tours, plans to expand the label roster and unleash their debut album Hard Times, 2008 shows no sign of slowing.
