About

  • A Brazilian label with international operation dedicated not only to unearth and update rare and exquisite Brazilian music but also to present new directions and contemporary artists. Run by Augusto Olivani aka Trepanado of Selvagem fame. On the reissue front, Selva Discos gave Maria Rita Stumpf's Brasileira a new life in 2017 and in 2019 the label presents the reissues of two long lost albums by 80's artist Fernando Falcão: Memória das Águas (1981) and Barracas Barrocas (1987). On the reworks front, through the Brasingles series, the label has but out three volumes: Marlui Miranda's Tchori Tchori (b/w a Joutro Mundo Mix), Barbatuques' Baianá (b/w a Wolf Müller drum-tastic edit) and Edson Conceição's Filho de Gandhi (b/w another drum-tastic edit this time from Mike Burns. Until September 2019 there will be a 4th volume on the series by Taciana Barros (b/w a Suba Extended Remix only available on CD until now). Up next: a new series of music made by contemporary artists such as Zopelar and Balako. Fique de olho.
