About

  • Remember 430 is a label created by Ed Isar in Paris in 2018 with art by Lion Sauterleute of Leipzig. In the last decade, this DJ, promoter, label manager, record store clerk and Twin Peaks fan has been involved with several labels in the European underground, notably Get The Curse, I'm a Cliché and Musique Pour La Danse. The latter is a sister label to Mental Groove, one of Switzerland's most important electronic music labels, and it is specialised in releasing unforgettable and forgotten music. For Remember 430, Ed Isar turns to the future. This is a label interested in releasing new music from talented human beings, with both a focus on highlighting undiscovered or underrated producers, while also celebrating confirmed ones. While the focus is music to dance to, by no means will the label restrict itself to the dancefloor. It seeks to find a balance between tunes meant to be played as loud as possible and more experimental and ambient cuts. It's too early for a release schedule, but here's a list of confirmed releases: -R430.01 by Modish (FR, based in CZ). Tripped out and dubby music initially produced and performed during shamanic rituals and given the dancefloor treatment. Two club bangers and three leftfield cuts: a bassy chugger, a blissed out stepper and a dissociative dub. -R430.02 by Emauz (PT, based in JP). A mini album created by this talented producer from Lisbon, currently based in Fukuoka. A careful balance between bona fide dancefloor bangers and slower, more experimental forays. -R430.03 by S36 (FR). We will explore the universe of this young talent from central France, who has developed a highly personal sound with IDM, electro and breakbeat influences.
