Tropical Velvet was set up by KORT in 2014.
Since winning the Defected Producers competition in 2011 & signing a publishing deal with DEFECTED MUSIC, KORT embarked upon a journey with COPYRIGHT RECORDINGS which started with the success of 'TOMORROW' and has seen several subsequent Traxsource number one's, and top ten chart positions.
The label has been gaining strong radio support from the likes of Ray Foxx (Kiss FM) Ricky Simmonds & Zoe Hartman (Ministry of Sound Radio) Sam Divine (Defected Radio), Glen Horsborough (Hed Kandi) along with top 10 in the DMC Buzz chart. With recent plays on BBC Radio one, capital Extra and a host of regional stations, profile continues to expand.
The guys feel that the label is a great opportunity to develop their vision of quality House Music across the genres; and with new signings from Guilty Ornot and Deeptrack ft Emma black, together with remixes from the likes of Detroit legend Terrence Parker, Tropical Velvet is pushing new boundaries for 2015
