- Over the past few years object blue has emerged as a unique voice in forward-thinking club music. Since 2018's debut EP Do You Plan To End A Siege? on TT (formerly known as Tobago Tracks), she's developed audio-visual works like FIGURE BESIDE ME with Natalia Podgórska and collaborated with TSVI on Hyperaesthesia. Apart from contributing a BBC Essential Mix last year, she's also a Rinse FM resident and has composed music for a Vivienne Westwood catwalk.
She spoke with DJ and radio host Heléna Star on the eve of a new object blue release, Grotto, which sees her returning to the TT stable. In conversation they discuss austerity's effect on the UK, grappling with writer's block and the story of how a 2p coin helped her get into music school.
