  • Josh Wink is an expert at creating tension in club music. It's an approach that can be traced from some of his early hit records like "Don't Laugh," "Higher State Of Consciousness" and "I'm Ready" right through to his latest single "Balls," which was released earlier this year after a four-year break from making music. Wink's story begins over a decade before his breakout tracks made him a globally recognised star. In fact, he remembers the exact moment that set him on the path to DJing and production, a journey that would take him from being a 13-year-old mobile DJ to becoming a key figure in Philadelphia's party scene, and ending up as one of house and techno's biggest DJ and producers. RA's Ryan Keeling spent time with Wink during his trip to London this past weekend and found him thinking deeply about his twin roles as a gigging international DJ and the father of a young child.
