Their practice revolves around creating speculative worlds that appear as a glitch in the fabric of capitalist realism. In their free time, they find objects in the streets, pensively stare into mirrors and daydream of peaceful animals in the countryside. About the piece: ๐—Ÿ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜ ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜ ๐—ฎ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ต ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—บ๐˜† ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ฒ The piece explores the intersections between queerness and trashiness as aesthetics that emerge from the margins. By deriving movement from objects and the idea of waste, we are going to indulge in the queer art of failure. Failing to comply with what is expected of us, breaking chains, like literal trash we find liberation in shedding meaning, disintegrating and mutating into every imaginable colour and form that exists out there. Get ready for some TWISTER baby! Through different mediums she focuses on use of the past, identity and landscape as a source for creative output. Within performance and choreography she has an emphasis on improvisation as a tool for creation. Recently she has started exploring the intersection of dance and analogue photography, using this as a means to document and detangle her position within different spaces, aiming to use the practice of framing within live performance. She explores the way performance can be used as an avenue for both performers and audience members to gain deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. She sees the act of creation as an acting of transmuting information and experiences, and enjoys drawing metaphors to nature through her work, as she feels nature is the ultimate blueprint humans can use on planet earth to move through experiences with grace.
