12H of a four on floor's neutral mode exits a long tunnel of manic sate caused by pandemic. Local World presents a "minimal" party on series of SPREAD's long party project Stritcly with DJ Sprinkles, the house name of legend / thinker Terre Thaemlitz, who makes her first club appearance in over two years.
The lineup includes many who have appeared at Local World in the past, electronic musician Foodman who released an album last year on London's Hyperdub (just before Europe tour), DJ Trystero a.k.a. JR Chaparro released on London's The Trilogy Tapes and played at Sustain Release, suimin who continues to expand her own style furthermore by playing at a wide variety of parties and venues, veteran 1-DRINK who has a selector's sense of mode and groove, and Kotsu (CYK) for the first time appering in Local World who has a house style and attempts contemporary minimalism while keeping the tone down the style.
Launched in 2016 at Shibuya's WWW, Local World was born during the deconstruction period of the mid-2010s, with a focus on rhythm and mode in electronic music, which is also linked to art and fashion. The 26th event will be a journey through a wide variety of rhythms (footwork, Gqom, etc.) from around the world with Afro and Aisa futurism in mind, contemporary modes, and current hyperpop inspired by the queer and feminism influences that have a large impact on today's club culture. This time, the theme of SPREAD's long party project "Strictly" series is "minimal", which is neither up nor down, but neutral in its orientation along with to the "even kick" (four kicks), which is also the tradition and foundation of dance music. One of goals of this party is also to break away from the maximum "manic" state that may have been caused by the repression of the pandemic disaster.
DJ Sprinkles aka Terre Thaemlitz:
Under the name "DJ Sprinkles," this underground Grammy-winning DJ began his career in New York City's transsexual clubs in 1990, and later founded Comatonse Recordings in 1993. He began his "Fug Jazz style" with an unusual deep house/ambient/fusion mix. Temlitz's DJing combines the past and present of house, and he was the resident DJ at Tokyo's Module club (Shibuya) from 2003-2006, and now splits his time between Europe and Japan. His first album "Midtown 120 Blues" (released on Mule Musiq and voted best album of 2009 by "Resident Advisor", the most trusted internet medium in the dance music scene), as well as his own compositions and songs for his own use. He also plays private remixes.

コロナ躁の長いトンネルを抜ける4つ打ちの中性的モード。2年以上ぶりのクラブ出演となるレジェンド／思想家テーリ・テムリッツのハウス名義DJ Sprinklesを迎えたLocal Worldプレゼンツのミニマル・パーティがSPREADの長尺企画「Strictly」シリーズにて開催。
共演にこれまでLocal Worldに出演のある面々が並び、ロンドンの〈Hyperdub〉から昨年アルバムをリリース、欧州ツアー直前の電子音楽家Foodman、同じくロンドンの〈The Trilogy Tapes〉からのリリースやPICNICのリミックスも手がけたJR ChaparroことDJ Trystero、多種多様な現場をひたすらに積み重ね拡張を続けるsuimin、モードのセレクター的なセンスとグルーヴを併せ持つベテラン1-DRINK、そしてLocal World初登場のハウスをスタイルとして掲げ、トーンを落としながら現代的なミニマルを試みるKotsu (CYK)を迎える。
2016年に渋谷のWWWにて始動、アートとファッションにも連なるエレクトロニック・ミュージックにおけるリズムとモードにフォーカスするLocal Worldは2010年代中期の脱構築期に生まれ、ジャマイカの奇妙なダンスホールから始まり、これまでにアフロやアジアのフューチャリズムも念頭とした世界各地の多種多様のリズム(フットワークやゴム等)、コンテンポラリーなモード、そして今日のクラブ・カルチャーに大きな影響を及ぼすクィアやフェミニズムに感化されながら現行のハイパーポップにまで至る旅を経て、第26回目を迎える。今回はSPREADの長尺パーティ企画「Strictly」シリーズにてテーマを上げでも下げでもないニュートラルな指向性のある”ミニマル”とし、ダンス・ミュージックの伝統、基礎でもあったイーブン・キック=4つ打ちへと向かい、6人のみで12時間のグルーヴの構築と快楽の蓄積への試み、コロナ禍の抑圧にも起因するであろうマキシマムな”躁”の状態からの脱却も一つの目的としている。
DJ Sprinkles aka Terre Thaemlitz:
1990年、「DJ Sprinkles」という名で、ニューヨークのトランスセクシュアル系クラブで活躍したアンダーグラウンド・グラミー受賞ＤＪ。その後、1993年に〈Comatonse Recordings〉を創設し、珍しいディープハウス／アンビエント／フュージョンのミックスから「ファッグジャズ風」を始めた。テムリッツのＤＪはハウスの過去と現在を結合している。2003年から2006まで、東京のクラブModule（渋谷）のレジデントDJ。そして今、ヨーロッパと日本の間を行き来している。DJ Sprinkles名義でのファースト・アルバム「Midtown 120 Blues」（Mule Musiqからリリース、ダンスミュージックシーンで最も信頼度の高いインターネットメディア"Resident Advisor"にて、2009年のベストアルバムに選ばれた）と自作曲と自分で使う為のプライベート・リミックスもプレーする。
