Secretsundaze hosts a double-venue, day & night party between Oval Space and The Pickle Factory on September 18th with a simple and celebratory message - Welcome To The Club! The event was first concepted as our first party back on July 10th, but has since moved to the new date of September 18th. Thankfully, we’ve managed to keep nearly all of the artists for the new date, and have even thrown some more into the mix for equal measure.
The format of the party changes slightly however we stick with Test Pressing’s Apiento and Nancy Noise holding down Oval Terrace in the afternoon sunshine from 2-8pm. Oval Space opens inside at 7pm with Norway’s finest DJ Sotofett headlining proceedings. Remarkably the Sex Tags Mania boss has never played a Secretsundaze before so we’re super excited to see how he delivers a peak time set. He’ll be coming on after David Mancuso protégée Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy who returns after playing at Secretsundaze in our first ever year back in 2002. Selector-don John Gomez and In Flames’ NTS fave Ruby Savage also join, as does plus crate-digging DJ’s DJ and Neroli records head, Volcov who will play a special B2B set with our very own James & Giles aka Secretsundaze.
The Pickle Factory opens up at 10pm with a fresh crop of UK talent joining Livity Sound’s Peverelist underneath the wooden beams; Timedance and Hessle affiliate Ploy, Hyperdub’s Ikonika and rising London DJ Tailor Jae. As far as Room 2s at a dance go, you can’t get much better than Pickle and last time was super fun moving across the 2 spaces.
We’re on FINAL RELEASE tickets across all tiers now so don’t sleep if you’d like to join us for the dance. If the Birthday Party was anything to go by, this should be another beautiful party across the 2 venues.
UPDATED COVID-19 POLICY
After some reflection, we have decided to tighten our policy on COVID-19, to keep yourself, our dancers, staff and DJ’s safe. In order to gain entrance to the party you must now show evidence of ONE of the following:
- a negative COVID test in the past 24-hours
- that you’re fully vaccinated (Covid Pass via NHS app or Vaccine certificate)
- that you have tested positive for Covid in the last 180 days and have now finished isolating
Covid lateral flow tests are free and widely available - link in our bio for more info. If you don’t want the NHS app, you can upload the result of a negative lateral flow test via the NHS website and receive a confirmation.
Please do not come to one of our parties if:
- you are feeling unwell / displaying Covid symptoms
- you have recently been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid / have been told to isolate
If the above applies, we’re happy to move your ticket to another future event, please just contact us via email.
We appreciate not everyone will agree with the policy - for some it will seem over the top, for others not extreme enough. We are enforcing this so that people feel comfortable coming to our events and as a collective measure to help our industry stay open after 16 months of closure.
If you work for the NHS, then we'd like to thank you for your tireless work over the past 12 months by offering you a concessionary ticket. Email us on [email protected] and we can sort this out. We know that COVID has had a huge impact on many people’s lives and as such have set aside a number of concessionary tickets for others that need it too - feel free to contact us if this is you.
Though we’re excited about returning to the dancefloor, we recognise that the UK recovery roadmap is subject to revisions. We will only go ahead with the event when we’re confident that it can happen safely under government sanctioned protocols. Should the event be forced to reschedule due to Covid, tickets will be transferrable to new dates, or refundable. The booking fee is refundable at RA’s discretion and is not something we are able to control.
Please note, a £1 'Green Tax' is charged on tickets and guestlist for all Secretsundaze events. This will contribute to Dance 2 Sustain, a green initiative aimed at reducing the amount of waste and carbon emissions across the organisation. This includes banning single-use plastic cups at our events and carbon offsetting all flights that we book.
