Cancelled: Rhythm Section x Club Coco presents: CC:Disco, Session Victim, Ash Lauryn, Zakia

  • ANNOUNCMENT : It’s with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of our party this weekend. Events have moved incredibly fast in the last few days and it’s become clear that we have to pull the plug here. It was only possible to approach all parties involved together as a team and make this decision today after Bradley returned abruptly from his tour in the USA. It’s become quite clear that this would be insensitive at best and irresponsible at worst and we’re sure you’ll understand. This is going to be an extremely tough year for all those in the business of bringing people together - and our thoughts go out to those affected directly and indirectly, especially those vulnerable to illness and those in precarious financial situations. Wishing you all a speedy recovery and a swift end to this real life disaster movie. Nb. Keep eyes peeled via RA for refund info. For anyone who can absorb a minor loss - it would go a Long way towards recouping some major losses - but we understand that many can’t , and will be working with RA on issuing refunds ASAP xx TEAM RS xx ________________________________________________________________ Two heavyweights from opposite ends of the globe join forces to present Rhythm Section x Club Coco in Peckham. Those who may not be familiar with Club Coco itself will be well aware of it's charismatic leader, Melbourne's very own CC:Disco! Having conquered the circuit down under, the last few years have seen her become a mainstay of the European club and festival scene, and not by fluke. Few manage to combine the mix of high energy, deep selections and down right fun. CC has proved herself to be a trusted dance-floor ally and embodies the spirit of the "kick on" like few can. So Rhythm Section regulars, put your phones to airplane mode and prepare for LESS CHIN STROKING, MORE DANCING on the 2nd floor of the Bussey warehouse. West London born & bred selector, NTS mainstay and burgeoning international talent, ZAKIA, completes the bill upstairs with an extended set of her signature spiritual, afrocentric dance-floor magic. In Room one, we return to longtime friends of the dance: SESSION VICTIM, who come back to SE15 to present a live performance of their new album " NEEDLE DROP". There's few people who exude such unadulterated joy on stage as this pair, and every time they've graced the RS dance-floor, whether behind the decks or on the stage - it's been an absolute riot. You'd think we might be tempted to stop there, but oh no.... we're most delighted to welcome the singular force that is ASH LAURYN. Detroit born, Atlanta Based - Ash is a DJ, writer and Radio host operating at the forefront of Underground dance music. Operating under her "Underground & Black" platform, Ash uses her voice to document the triumphs and struggles of a Black woman from Detroit representing the legacy of her cities Black music on an increasingly global scale. A true ambassador of the movement, Ash has played and collaborated with the likes of Stefan Ringer, Joe Claussell, Marcellus Pittman, Chez Damier, and fellow ATL based local , Kai Alcè. Long before all of this, however - Bradley first met Ash thru repeated dance-floor encounters on the " Made in Detroit" Stage at Movement 2012 and again in 2013. The shared love for deep Detroit music has come full circle and led her all the way back to Rhythm Section, some 8 years later. Z Lovecraft tops the bill in room 1, bringing his military grade selections through to the dance and setting things of nice! .... THE DEAL 2 floors, 4 decks, a couple of mixers, more than a few crates of vinyl. Dub fx, shout outs and a live show! Advance Tickets from £6 MOTD ..as always, don't be late to avoid that queue. Roadblock expected so don't sleep on grabbing a ticket. TWO RULES 1. be nice 2. no photos on the dancefloor plz... (save that for the smoking area!) ---->BRING PHOTO ID!<---- ps. please only use RA ticket resale to exchange tickets
