Stanton Warriors return for a FABRICLIVE takeover. As early FABRICLIVE residents, the Bristol duo shaped the sound of our Friday night showcase, bringing an eclectic mix of breaks, broken bass and garage-inclined club sounds. This January, they bring Stanton Sessions back to Room One, inviting a host of the UK’s finest talents to join them. Drum & bass luminary Danny Byrd reps the much-loved Hospital camp, while Mark Archer also lands. As one half of the legendary Altern 8 duo, Archer was an influential force of the 90s UK rave scene. While much of their work was released via Network back in the early 90s, a string of more recent solo releases has given Archer something of a resurgence among today’s generation of dance music fans. Shadow Child also prepares to perform a one-off jungle rave set in keeping with the night’s curation, while The Nextmen round things off with their bass-led take on hip-hop.
Punks Music host Room Two. The Warriors have put out a number of killer releases over the course of the last two decades, most of which were released via their acclaimed Punks imprint. The bill leans heavily on a number of UK artists who helped lay the foundations of the early 2000s breakbeat scene, including early FABRICLIVE staples Plump DJs, Freestylers, and Mafia Kiss. We also welcome one of Russia’s leading talents pushing broken bass forms, Lady Waks. There’s also a focus on Punks' killer roster in Left/Right and Aurbs, while GUAD, Cherry and Olly G round off a night that celebrates the classic and future-facing sounds of breaks-led, bass-driven club music.
